The Platinum: Rising Rivals set is the nineth fourth generation set and the second in the Platinum series. This set continues with the Pokémon SP standards introduced in Platinum and focuses on the Gym Leaders and Elite Four of Sinnoh. This time, as well as Pokémon , there are Pokémon  & Pokémon , all of which utilising Pokémon that the trainers own in the Pokémon games.
In a temporary break away from the Secret Holographics of the two prior sets and subsequent sets, the secret holographic cards in here instead focus on Rotom and it's multiple forms introduced in Pokémon Platinum
